Reproduces by seed.<br \/>\nLeaves: Leaf sheathes are densely covered in soft hair with short, papery ligules.<br \/>\nStem: Covered in soft, dense hair<br \/>\nRoots: Shallow and thin.<br \/>\nSeeds\/Inflorescence: Slender, 1-2 inches long and generally drooping to one side. Awns become reddish\/purple at maturity<br \/>\nOther: Highly invasive and thrives in disturbed ground. Favors fire burnt areas and is generally one of the first species to appear after a fire.
