Bio Control

O. Erythrocephala

For over 20 years, CCWP has been working with landowners across the county to create thriving establishments of insects that feed primarily on noxious species. Bio-control is a great method of control to be used in an integrated weed management plan, along with mechanical and/or chemical methods. There are several species of insects that have been successfully implemented in Carbon County to control weed species such as spotted knapweed, Canada thistle, leafy spurge, and yellow toadflax.
